That is such a good performance of what is essentially the silliest song that he's ever written. You and I have talked at great lenght about the validity of that album, but my favorite performance from that record was undoubtedly when he played "So Alive" on Letterman. I just decided to mention it in hopes that someone would read this instead of littering our blog with as much Ryan Adams clips as possible. Which wouldn't be the worst thing. The vocals are just insane.

I was seriously this close to putting that version of "So Alive" up as the SotD that day. That performance is great! He sings the shit out of that tune. Yeah, I love me some Rock N Roll...both the album and the genre in general. And I truly don't understand how anyone can listen to any songs by Black Kids and not enjoy the hell out of them. If you haven't listened to that tune yet, you should check it out.
